PBs shown are only for this series

The wind was gusting up strongly from the SW for round 3 of the Dardanup TT series resulting in few personal bests, but still some very impressive performances given the conditions. One who did improve slightly was Rob Commons and it is great to see reward for the effort he is putting in with his cycling. The next ergo test should be interesting! Erik managed to cut through the wind thanks to his fancy shoes and thin frame and a result of 23.10 with such strong wind conditions is extremely impressive. Unfortunately his competition, Bradley was having a night off after performing well in the Cyclemania Classic at the weekend. Another who didn?t seem to mind the wind was Chris Visentin who got under 25 minutes again and showed he is a true time triallist. Unfortunately wife, Deb wasn?t motivated this week and will have to put up with Chris being pleased with himself for another fortnight! The other husband and wife duo were once again evenly matched with Brent managing to just get 5 seconds on Denise this week. Deb?s main competition, Harry and Eugene both suffered misfortune with Harry puncturing on the second corner and Eugene continuing to suffer health problems. Connor was able to continue to wave the Lambert flag however with another good ride and another caning of the older sister!! Good to see Rowan Brown fresh from his recent success at the mountain bike state round competing in another club time trial with a respectable 25.13, just in front of John Dewhurst and Mark Swansen who is riding better than ever this year in spite of recent knee problems and at this point has the better of his mate, Frank Stoffers who got his first time on the board this week, but will be looking to improve from there. With Ash starting 30 seconds back, Brendon was nervous as a cat on the start line and was relieved to finish just in front of her, but still well and truly ?chicked? with Ash once again putting in an excellent ride in the challenging conditions. There were a number of new riders out including Harvey Graham having a go at a time trial and also Andy Holben and Dennis Devereaux, both of whom have just joined the club. No doubt all three will be hoping for better conditions at the next event and should see some good improvement. In the 8.4km, LJ was once again fastest however all of the juniors struggled to achieve the times of a fortnight ago given the wind. The one exception was new club member, Nathalie Commons who must be taking tips from Rob and put in a great effort on her flat bar lowering her personal best. Check out photos thanks to Christine Luxford on the Facebook site and the results will be published on the ATTA site. Many thanks to timekeepers Denny Teede, Marg Stoffers and Brian Kennedy and to our spotters Suzy McLucas, Kerry and Alex Bailie.
