The skeeters were pleased to have us return to the Park and hung around for quite a while - to make sure we felt welcome? Otherwise the conditions were pretty good it seemed and a number of people made the most of them and posted PBs, some quite substantial reductions of previous times - Jessica's PB was also a new course record! Not a lot of riders today had ridden this course previously so many were busy just establishing their benchmarks.

Presumably the nature of the course must go a long way towards explaining the relatively short start-list. There's no denying it's a different style of course from what we're used to; or would prefer?

Getting re-acquainted with the experience of setting up an event in the pre-dawn gloom was the core of our helper group: Lorraine, Susie and Pimmie soon joined by Aviva, Nick Foster, Phil Deisel and Nicky and then Steve McK and Karen. Big thanks again are due to them all.
