A new course record - welcome back Luke; it's been a pretty good year, eh? Nor was Davina's time too far off Jessica's record set at the start of the series. There was a bevy of PBs too, one of which was Graham Thornton, stirred by the rush of adrenalin only the violent blowout of a tyre just before the start can provide. Owen continued to explore the parameters of aerodynamics on this course and seems to have reached the conclusion today that gearing does assist in riding the sausage - he tried a fixie today… Many thanks today to the crew: Lorraine and Helen W took care of the registrations desk where Natalie also lent a hand particularly when L shot off to work; Nicky, MrP and the other MrP (Pimmie) took care of the start assisted by 'the voice' Stevie McK back at the barriers where Cam was handling the traffic; down at t'other end Roger and James Hales looked after things; Andrew Mackie ferried the results and Aviva called numbers. SO now we launch into the festivities - have fun but do come back next week. |
