The panther waits…

It's about 17deg; and a bit windy BOM says but no rain at the moment. webscorer is active; no apparent additions to the start list, half of whom are said to be on their way … Alastair Milne (last year's fastest) has passed through the finish for the first time; a few minutes later Tanya Birkbeck is through, one of only three women today.
The link to the previous bests for today's riders that I posted to FB on Thursday has disappeared without explanation.
Simon Donegan (previous 53:51) now sits at the top of the list followed by Stu Helm; Milne has passed through for Lap 2—that's ten starters accounted for so far, four of five newbies among them. Twelve through now. David Equid is one of them having started last – after setting up the course? 9:30am: it looks like four riders DNS and Tanya is the only girl riding; no rain still, 17° and only 60% humidity. But it looks like stuff is coming through from the west. We're well into Lap 3, Stu Helm (Cx/G) is now on the top of the list, Donegan #2 and Steve Knight has pushed Alastair down one place. Newbie Solomon Torrance (Cx/G) is at #5. Stu has just finished and retains top spot with Simon next with a substantial PB; and Alastair (MTB) in third. Four riders are yet to complete Lap 4, Glasby has finished: #5 spot. Tanya has completed her five and only Solomon Torrance is yet to complete Lap 4. Apart from Simon's, all times are well shy of the rider's previous. The wind has backed off a bit but still no rain reported. Is the wind an influence on this circuit—I don't know.
Did Solomon Torrance quit after three laps, he was on a good time until then? Paul has finished and that may be the lot for this one.

The attaTime files arrived and confirmed the DNF for Solomon; Paul Borrett also punctured (see Lap 1/2).
