When Troy went out to staple extra course-marking arrows to trees it was 2º; but it got warmer by the start of the event. Lorraine was there early to get us into the park and set things up too. She was the timekeeper for the day; Susie had organised and collected the key for us and was your starter. And Jonathan was the man to win the right to cohabit with the Panther for the next twelve months; and in a PB time within sight of the course record. Andrew Mackie, last year's Panther custodian also managed to post a PB despite still recovering from a shoulder injury. Separating Jonathan and Andrew was Troy similarly posting a PB. Jono's improvement was massive; Troy's was also pretty big; Guido had a nice respectable update of his 'best' and Matt Veloff, presumably, has been putting in a bit of work since the last time we saw him - four years ago. |
