Ian Klasens returned home from Lake Leschenaultia with The Panther for the fourth consecutive year; people are beginning to talk about the relationship…
But it was no surprise given his recent form - third in a very large field at the recent six-hour at Jarrahdale. We made the Leschenaultia course a little more technical for him this year and kept 'Gate 8' closed! I suspect that he bunny-hopped it anyway; but his old course record remained intact.

Mandy unfortunately couldn't do much about reducing her record for the circuit either as she limped in with a corked thigh and abandoned after falling on Lap 1. Paul also left his bike behind briefly when his only brake, the front one, proved inadequate in the gravel on one corner. He wasn't damaged though.

Deano, riding semi- slicks like Paul and Tink negotiated the course somewhat cautiously, stayed upright and even had time to do a bit of extra sight-seeing on one lap he said. Why not?- it's a lovely bit of bush around there!

And the rain held off until well after we'd finished.
