…and once again in the Great Hunt for the Panther, Ian was successful. This year Gate 8 was open again so he made it around the circuit in record time.
But it was a year for records - when Tink started, having got everybody else under way the field became the largest we've had on this course. She also made sure we didn't create a somewhat less impressive 'first' in that it was almost the occasion at which we didn't have a woman rider in the field.

But we did have a few others, not racing but who deserve bags of gratitude: Ronnie and Susie looking after the registrations and timekeeping and Cat who did duty as a roving marshal.
Big dollops of thanks are also due to Troy Coulthard who added the extra signage to the course yesterday. When Andrew Mackie went out after the race and retrieved these additional marker arrows he returned with a bagful of almost ninety! Nobody could have had any excuse for going off-course in this event! Troy had also apparently been pretty energetic in spreading the word and making sure we had a decent turnout. Quite a few were first-time riders with ATTA so it's not surprising that, given the conditions, there wasn't a mass of PBs. This does mean, of course that having established benchmarks we'll, hopefully, see riders back next year to better them!
