Please LET US KNOW if your name of club affiliation needs correction. By Saturday night we had 64 pre entries which I thought was great considering the amount of rain we have had in the last week. Unfortunately whilst Saturday afternoon saw the sun poke its head out, it failed to put its clock forward for daylight saving and decided it wasn't worth making an appearance. Forty six riders managed to get their clocks right and made their way to the start but as the first rider rolled down the start ramp the rain started and never stopped. Tim Clarson from Manly was the quickest over the short course from Alex Chubb of Dulwich Hill with David Jackson of Randwick showing the young guys how to harden up. The rain handicapped a lot of riders and interestingly our e-bike legend, Tony McLelland, also lost a lot of time to his previous best. Matt Rozyn did the best over the long course but was so ashamed of his time that he kept going and didn't return his number. Looks like Matt has booked the number 12 slot for November. Charl Marais was the exception to the norm posting a PB of 1:05 over the long course. Congratulations Charl. Hopefully, next month we will have some more of the great weather we have had all year. |
