New Course Records again!



Mark was obviously just playing the psych game when he announced that his bottom bracket was non-functional but, whatever, it wasn't going to faze him and certainly didn't stop the pedals going round (very fast) for long. Also focussed was Capt. Julz (Broadbent) who held the record for 7min 31sec



And of course there was Lorraine out there neatly trimming another 4 sec off last year's mark. But it was a good day where the only bit made tough by whatever wind was around was the 3km heading west on Park Rd. My personal thanks to all the staff today and, in particular Naughty Nev who took over the starter's task so Stephen could look after the timing and I could get things together and give the Cerv?lo a bit of an outing amongst all its stable mates.



Then there was Lorraine of course, and on the corners: Peter Fallon, Phil Gyford, Barry Murphy and Mike Buytels. Thanks also to MarkR and PhilD for helping to un-sign the course at the end. And Stuey has confirmed the rumours that were flying around that Swan Districts have told us that, due to traffic density this is the last time we will have their permission to ride the course. But it was inevitable in that the west end of Park Rd is already carrying a large notice announcing that the area is zoned for urban development? bugger!



Well, with that knowledge, I am even more pleased to have had today's ride; I s'pose Mark and Lorraine are too - nobody will come up to steal their records - ever.
