The meeting began with the distribution of the Hilly Shirts, followed by the presentation of the BAR and Hilly trophies and BAR medals.
This year's presentation of the ATTA Endeavour award was made to Stephen Moore for his selfless contribution to atta through the past season, starting and timing events with magnificent efficiency
The formal part of the meeting following the tabling of the President's and Treasurer's reports (with brief verbal explanations and amplifications eg: membership in Tasmania and NSW are currently 80 and 54 respectively), saw the re-election of all Office bearers who offered themselves for re-election:
Peter Meyer (President); Rod Randall & John Neville (Vice Presidents); LorraineSchutz (Treasurer); Stuey Estcourt (Secretary); Roger & Jenny Holt (shared position);Kirsten Estcourt, Bob Barnes and Greg Perry. Mel Davies will continue to be our liason with the WCMCC.
New to the committee in the coming year will be Roger Hales and Andrew Mackie. Scotty McDowell and Stephen Moore agreed to be 'virtual' members of the committee (included on the email discussion list)
Again a secure financial position, aided by several grants and the ability of our NSW and Tasmanian groups to contribute their share of our major expense (insurance) together with the success of the 'Birds in the Park' and championships series meant that no changes were necessary to either membership or race entry fees for the next year.
The date of the next AGM was set for July 29, 2005
And then we enjoyed dinner.
