We distributed the Hilly Shirts and presented the BAR medals, the Hilly and BAR trophies. The latter were handed jointly to Genevieve and Mark but Gen got to carry them off and enjoy them first because Mark is a gentleman and, anyway he's already had a few turns with them as we well know.
We had breakfast and finally got down to the meeting business

The Apologies were noted and the assumption having been made that that all members present had read the various linked documents (above), the President's and Treasurer's reports were summarised. It was noted that since the reports were posted our NSW affiliate had registered as a company to run their events. Later discussion emphasised that we intend to bring a number of events onto the online registration/ prepayment system as anticipated last year; we would also strongly encourage membership renewals to be done this way or by direct deposit in preference to being done in the frenzy of registration at events. The committee may again consider the proposition of a season-ticket payment for events and we will be continuing to search for, appoint, annoint people competent to back up the skills needed in race management.

Lorraine presented a budget proposal for the coming year that would allow again for a small surplus; no changes are required in the fees for either membership or standard race entry.

Most 2007 Office bearers were re-appointed; Mark Roberts was given the new reposibility of a Vice-Presidency and Byron Geneve, Andrew Haskins and Owen Jones were added to the appointments to the Executive Committee; the full list can be found on the Contacts page (some previous members of that committee were not present or had not indicated their willingness to continue to be involved in that way). Any member is welcome to participate in online meetings.

The next AGM is scheduled for the last week in July 2008 (probably the 26th)
